Stain, Stain Go Away
“Stuck like glue, whoah, whoah, stuck like glue, you and me, baby, we’re stuck like glue…” – Sugarland, “Stuck Like Glue”
But really, this stain is no joke! Benefit’s tints will stick with you for days if you’re not careful, but I have nothing but praise for two of the four surprisingly hydrating products shown below who double as both cheek & lip stains!
Highbeam:
a bright white liquid shimmer, cool in tone. The perfect pop of highlight on small areas of the face (under the brow, cupid’s bow, edge of cheekbones, tip of nose). It brushes on like a nail polish and a little goes a long way! I would suggest not moving or patting it around too much for fear that it winds up soaking more into your finger than on your face – it has a thin consistency. Love!
Posietint:
a neutral-toned, rose pink. Full of vibrancy and reminiscent of springtime, this stain is the most versatile of the bunch! Also love!
Lollitint:
a cool, almost purple-ish shade. This is a very unique and beautiful but impractical tint for most skin-types. I mean, who wants purple cheeks? In this case, I’d use this one only on lips for a statement mauve-hued look.
Benetint:
a warm, flushed natural red-toned stain. Although this one bleeds the most (due to its watery consistency, I believe), I do love its color. Just the slightest dab or two will give the the “newly awakened”, “been out running” look. My only beef with it is that it bleeds into any crevice available so although it may look great on the cheeks and center of the lip, watch out placing it too close to those little lines around the edges of your mouth!
After wiping three passes with a makeup wipe, Highbeam disappeared but Posietint, Lollitint, and Benetint were holding out strongly! Props to the chemists at Benefit for the longevity of the product’s wear!
Have you tried one? If so, what are your thoughts?
