Give Your Skin Some R&R

“Even a soul submerged in sleep is hard at work and helps make something of the world.” - Heraclitus

A night-time skincare ritual is my favorite prep of the day. There's something so delicious and and therapeutic about taking off the day's grime and restoring goodness back into my tired skin. I wanted to share a few of my must-haves in the chance that you're looking to add to or switch up something in your own routine.

Let's start with cleansing! I use Clinique's Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser to remove the initial makeup/oils then put a bit more on my handy dandy Clarisonic (which I adore!) before patting drying and applying upward strokes of Thayer's Cucumber Facial Toner with a cotton ball. Then comes the fun part...

Dollar Tree's gel cooling mask, Pacifica's pink quartz roller, First Aid Beauty's Ultra Repair Hydra-Firm Sleeping Cream, & Mario Badescu's Cellufirm Drops

I squeeze out a few of Mario Badescu's Cellufirm Drops ($25) and pat that into my skin. This product is what I'd consider a booster to your moisturizer; it boasts ingredients like collagen, elastin, glycerin, Oligopeptide-5, & antioxidant oils and helps "diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles". It absorbs quickly, without any greasy residue. I then use my pink quartz roller from Pacifica to massage that it fully before applying the divine hydration that is First Aid Beauty's Sleeping Cream ($38). This product is so emollient, luxurious and very affordable considering the fact that it's a 1.7oz tub of cream - a little goes a long way, trust me! And finally, I can't forget my trusty eye cream, Tarte's Maracuja C-Brightener Eye Treatment, sealing the deal.

I'm always up for suggestions of new night-time remedies (especially products that do double-duty in both hydrating and healing), so send me your recommendations...
