Tarte does it again - another fabulous eyeshadow palette, this time full of vibrantly pigmented shades! For those of you classic ladies NOT into shimmer and sparkle, this is definitely not the palette for you, but for all of you unicorns out there, this collection is right up your rainbow-colored alley.

The Tarteist Pro Remix palette contains 20 shades of bold, bright eyeshades nestled in a colorfully spackled, sturdy square pan and boasts a wide range of colors from flesh-toned matte to mermaid-aqua metallic shimmer. It's predecessor, the Tarteist, is a much "calmer" version with far more matte shades and only a few shimmers. In the Remix, there are 3 matte shades and wait for it……….17 shimmers! Going for $49 at tarte.com or $36.75 on-sale at Sephora (I got mine during Tarte’s birthday sale for $21), it’s a steal for the quality of product and breadth of color options inside.

These colors are all strongly pigmented excepting “Graphic” & “Beat Drop” which have chunkier pieces of glitter mixed in with more murky base tones. I personally prefer applying the shimmers with a finger rather than a brush, packing them on for full effect on a slight damply primed lid or with a creme shadow base underneath. My personal favorites are “Mashup”, a rich, true purple, “Art Deco”, a groovy aqua-green, and “Inspiration”, a pastel, peachy baby-pink.
